More Summer Fun

My Mom and I had a great time taking the kids to Disneyland this week. We all got passes and it was Noah's first time there. He did really well and seemed to enjoy the rides. Ethan is now tall enough for the roller coasters and wants to ride them all. This will be a fun year for us at Disneyland.

This week has been filled with fun things, we took the kids to the beach to watch a movie. Ethan and Kara just loved being outside on the sand to watch a great family movie.

Wedding Time!

Just got home from a beautiful wedding at Shutters on the Beach. Andy and I had a great time. It was nice to have some grown-up fun, while the kids were with a babysitter.

Celebration of Life

Today would have been my Dad's 79th birthday. In the Jewish religion after you bury a person you don't lay down the head stone for at least 30 days, then you have a get together to unveil the stone. My mom and I chose to have the unavailing done today because we thought it would be a great way to remember him and celebrate his life. Grass can be placed as a remembrance that life is fleeting, and stones were taken to the grave site and placed around the headstone to symbolize that we were there and remember his life. It was a beautiful tradition that I learned today and want to pass it on to my children. After the ceremony we all went to eat, "walking to nourishment" to symbolize that we walk forward in our life as we walk along side with our grief.
